Shrimps

Well, again it has been a while since our last post and again I will use the excuse of being extremely busy for the delay, but it seems that we are always busy.

Zoa has been busy working on many milestones lately. She has stood on her own a few times now, but it only lasts a couple seconds at the most before she sits down. She also has started using this stool in our kitchen as a modified walker. She pushes it along the kitchen floor and walks behind it. Last night she was pushing it so fast that she was practically running. She has little interest in holding our hands to try and walk and will sit down immediately if we try to help her out. It looks like she is trying to figure out how to stand up on her own too, but she has a long way to go. Right now she puts her hands on the floor in front of her and pushes her butt up in the air trying to get up; it is very ineffective. It seems like she will probably be a late walker, which is fine with us. It is hard enough to keep up with her crawling all over the house.

Zoa also started swim lessons this week at the Y. She has always loved taking baths, so she was right at home in the water. She was smiling almost the whole swim class. However, she was also the only baby to cry as well as the teacher gave them all balls, but then took them away at one point. This did not fly well with Zoa as she started screaming for the ball. Yes, she is very good already at throwing a fit if she does not get what she wants. Our class was really full, so we got moved to a baby class next week. This class had a lot of "older" kids (2-3) and the instructor thought Zoa was about 6-months old, so next week we will be in a smaller class with infants, which is fine with us because we are really just paying to have Zoa in the water. I am posting only 1 picture here from her swim lessons, because both Brian and I wanted to swim with Zoa, so neither of us stayed out of the water to take pictures.

Well, I hear my little doodle stiring over the baby monitor, so nap time must be over. Hopefully, we will write more soon.
