Easter and Etc.

Well, we have been really busy around the house so far this Spring. It seems like every moment I have at home is either consumed by Zoa and Brian or by yard work. The former is a joy, but the latter is a never-ending battle with leaves, acorns and grass seeds. I am definitely starting to see a down-side to home ownership as now with warmer weather comes increase amounts of house projects. But enough of my complaining, onto Bugsly...

Zoa has been very busy lately cruising around the house, digging tupperware and assorted paper plates and bowls out of her cupboard, and throwing her toys everywhere. Her favorite passtimes are climbing stairs and digging through the bathroom cupboard. Occasionally, we need to gate her out of these passtimes for her own safety because we truly do have to watch her every second nowadays. Well, just tonight I stopped (but just barely) from eating some gross centipede corpse she dug out of the basement carpet.

Zoa is also very proud of all her new abilities and is often seen clapping for herself after any demonstration of a new physical or mental feat. She is also saying mama and dada a lot lately, and at times really seems to understand what she is saying. She is very verbal when she is comfortable and at home.

While cutting another tooth the last couple weeks, Zoa was on a hunger strike. However, she finally seems to have her appetite back and can be seen here eating her first full meal that was entirely whatever Mom and Dad were eating. She was very happy to be eating the same food as us. She is also seen here in a booster seat that her Great-Grandma gave her. Zoa is a huge fan of the seat and love sitting at the table with us. The highchair was great, but I have a feeling that it will soon be a thing of the past.

For easter, she also had her first easter egg hunt cruising around the floor. She seemed to enjoy finding the eggs, but found them a little boring. Later that afternoon, we had dinner/lunch with a colleague of mine, and Zoa charmed their giant 100 lb black lab. By the end of the afternoon, Zoa was pulling the dog's lips, pulling herself up to standing using the dog as leverage, and cuddling on his belly as he lay on the floor. It was really cute.

I am really tired and am sure this post is random and unorganized to say the least. However, I just wanted to give Zoa fans a little something to read, as I know that at least my Mom has been eager to hear more and see more pictures.
