Prison Break

It has been a while since the masculine voice of Bugsly Doodle has thrown some action your way. It is just that Bugsly and I have been locked away in the pen like animals, though be it stuffed animals all the colors of the rainbow. We guess that it isn't that bad. We play with toys, lift weights, watch tv, and read. We have yet to convert to a religion during our stay in the pen, but given that Omaha is the birthplace of Malcolm X, I guess we could look into that.

As said, being in the pen isn't that bad. We do get some time in the yard for fitness. It has been nice in Omaha lately, so our hour we get each day has seen some walks and absorption of some much needed UV (it alleviates Bugsly's seasonal affective disorder and prevents her from getting the rickets again). I think that when we get out, we will be completely reformed and won't experience recidivism. In fact each day Bugsly makes new strides toward never entering the pen again. I guess once she learns to walk safely and to frown upon extracurriculars such as sticking fingers in eletrical sockets, falling down stairs, and eating food stuffs that are 4x too big for her esophagus, then she will be let free.

The prison food hasn't been too bad either. Bugsly is still digging the butternut squash that they serve and has moved onto some other items such as potatoes. She still frowns at sauce forms of pears and apples, probably because of the razor blade incident where her nemesis "Crispy Bear" tried to spike her food with some lethals. That doesn't prevent her from eating these items through the safety of a mesh screen of the snacking teether toy that is standard issue to babies who have survived a culinary attempt on their lives.

We even had some visitors at the pen. Grandma and Grandpa Bloom made the trip to visit us and to plead with us to reform our ways. They even brought along their dogs to take part in the sponsored "Pets for Prisoners" program. Apparently it is thought that petting some dog is going to cure the wickedness from us. The rest of the cool cats in the house didn't seem to mind the presence of the puppies, so it seems that they will continue to visit us in the future.

Well, time at the computer machines is about to end. Bug and I need to hit the cafeteria and then help the warden choose the menu for the next week.
