Greeting Devotees

Once again Lady Zoa must apologize to her devotees. She was busy the last couple weeks greeting some of her most loyal subjects in Wisconsin. She experienced so many “firsts” over the last few weeks and did so much it is hard to know where to begin, so I will just touch on some of the highlights.

Winter in Wisconsin was mild, a pleasant change, and Bugsly took advantage of the warmer, clearer weather to do an extended amount of visiting. She was a champ in the car traveling well to and from Nebraska and being shuttled continuously around the Madison area. She saw all of the grandparents as well as aunts and uncles. She also met extended family and family friends and was continually showered with gifts wherever she went, as a true Lady should be. Zoa began to learn to open presents and was very good at tearing off wrapping paper. However, once she removed the paper, she preferred to eat it rather than play with the gifts bestowed upon her. Zoa thanks all of her subjects for the beautiful bounty she received in Wisconsin. In fact, there was so much bounty; we could barely fit it all in the car for our trip home. The photo journal here includes Zoa opening presents Christmas morning and wearing her concentration face while playing with a new book. The other photos include Liam (our friends' Ceri & Glenn's baby) looking awestruck at his first audience with Lady Zoa and her giving him her 2-handed blessing. It was truly a foreordained meeting!

Once home, Zoa needed 3 days to recuperate from her trip. She took about 3 naps a day and slept for at least an hour at a time. One day she even took an unheard of 3 and ½ hour nap. Thankfully (or maybe not), Zoa is back to her “normal” napping schedule.

Developmental highlights for Lady Zoa include the following: her new teeth are really coming in and now you can even catch a glimpse of them when she flashes one of her killer smiles. She is also bouncing on her hands and knees looking as if she will start to crawl at any moment. She sits with ease rarely falling on her face anymore, and she is talking more all of the time (much of her talk revolves around mamamama and dadadada). Finally, those hair buds are turning into much thicker and longer hair, and Zoa is thankful for slightly more coverage now that the weather is turning colder again.

Well, that is the brief update. I must get back to work as serving as Zoa’s spokesperson is only one of my part-time jobs.
