Daycare Drama

Well, the last post I actually wrote last Wednesday, but was having some trouble getting blogger to post pictures for a couple days. Then, we went to Kansas city fo the weekend. We have no pictures from our weekend to post as we forgot our camera. We also forgot our stroller, which made touring the city a little difficult. We spent a lot of time at the hotel pool, which Zoa enjoyed thoroughly and spent some time at an art museum and the Country Club Plaza area. It was nice to get away for a weekend.

We have had a lot of trouble adjusting to daycare this past week, and I am still having a lot of trouble putting my trust in our child care provider. We actually may be considering finding alternative child-care, but we are going to see how this week goes. We will see.

I actually just wanted to post a couple pictures tonight of Zoa lookng cute in a dress that Nana and Papa brought back from Italy for her. We still have not even thanked them properly yet, but Zoa sure looks good in her new Italian threads.

Animo animo! It does indeed suck leaving your precious, small person with someone you don't know. It's a tough transition to make--our new (amazing) provider told us to expect two weeks of crying and chaos during the adjustment. At least Zoa's not crying, that's a big step. But it is a major adjustment. Liam wanted to be up all night with us when we first left him in someone else's care, but it did subside.

I know many people who had to change care providers (inluding us). It took us about a month before we realized our first day care just wasn't a good fit. But the second we entered our new provider's house, we felt like it was a match made in heaven. So give yourself time to adjust to the big change, but do follow your instincts if you're not happy with the care.

    Good luck guys!
