Haircut

This summer has turned out to be quite busy as Brian is in school and I am now teaching summer school. We have had some fun too including a Penly wedding over Memorial day weekend (of which I took no pictures, so if you are out there Penlys, please email us some!). We have also been spending a lot of time just hanging out in our backyard enjoying the nice weather. Unfortunately, last weekend we spent with the stomach flu, but we are all feeling better now.
I have got to spend a little more time with Zoa so far this summer, which I have really enjoyed. She is at such a fun age right now and continually amazes me with things she does or says. She now can "read" a couple books to us. One of her favorites is "Quick as a Cricket." She actually looks at each page and says what is on it and then turns the page. She also sings a lot of funny little songs. I love hearing her version of the lyrics to some of the songs. One of my favs is her version of Row Row Row the Boat, which includes "bodaka bodaka bodaka life is dreeeaaam."
Zoa is definitely a real talker too. She says these amazing sentences that are like 10-words long now, and she talks pretty much non-stop. She is definitely an outgoing personality. At daycare this morning, Norma told me that she is the favorite child of all the parents because she is always talking to everyone. Now that she has been voted most popular at daycare, who knows what is next?
So I am posting a couple pictures here of Zoa's new haircut. It probably does not look that much different to most of you, but I gave Zoa her first real haircut this weekend. I have only cut her bangs before, but Sunday I cut about an inch and a half off the back.
